    Many moons

    Yes, it has been ages since the last post. What can I say? It’s just that time of year again. Grading final papers and final exams, writing my own papers, and going home for the holidays, sort of. That is, I went home for a week and now am back in wintery wonderland for the rest of the year. At least we didn’t go sliding off the runway.

    little old lady

    Guess who spent part of the weekend hobbling around on a cane like a little old lady? Why yes, that would be me. Somehow, I managed to pop something out of place in my knee on Friday night, and got to spend precious sleeping time Saturday morning waiting to see a doctor. Unfortunately, he really couldn’t tell me anything just by poking at my knee–it wasn’t swollen or anything. So he told me to get a cane and get a referral on Tuesday. Although I don’t know if I’ll follow u pon that. Now, I can put weight on my knee and the pain has almost completely diminished. Still, I can’t shake the feeling that I’m only a few years away from having twenty cats and being called Old Lady Grundy by the neighborhood kids.
