the cake has been assimilated

But its legacy will live on in photos forever. I have to say that some of the video game inspired cakes at Kotaku really put my little Borg cake to shame (even Martha’s getting into the game!). But I still think it wasn’t too bad given that it was my first fondant adventure. Maybe someday I’ll gain some magical artistic powers and make my cakes even better! Until that day, more pics of the borg.

The birthday girl prepares for assimilation.

The first cut is the deepest.

That is pure cakey perfection, if I do say so myself!

  1. I am stunned and impressed. I have no idea what that thing is but I can appreciate that it is amazing.

  2. Wow! That is quite a cake. I have to either make or purchase a cake for my friend’s baby shower next month. Any suggestions, oh-super-impressive-cake-maker? Although I somehow think Lindsey would not appreciate a Borg cake.

  3. Hmm, my suggestion would be to save yourself some time and buy a cake. ;-) Also, don’t make a cake that involves 4 boxes of cake mix unless you’ve got at least 25 people there to eat it. The super-impressive-cake-maker has spoken!
