Katie Brown makes me hate Saturday
March 1, 2008Why is Saturday afternoon television always so disappointing. Yeah, maybe some people actually go out and do stuff on Saturday afternoons, but are they really the ones that networks should be catering to? What about all the lazy bum grad students out there who were up really late putting together their teaching applications and who just want to lay on their bums and watch some quality programming? I realize that if you put something like Katie Brown’s Workshop on at time when there is anything else watchable on tv (good movies on Telemundo included) that no one would ever watch it. But for the love of god, why must my Saturday afternoons be defiled by the lame antics of this mildly-retarded Martha wannabe? Do I not suffer enough already? What have I done to deserve such cruel punishment from the television gods?
I have never heard of this person. I’m sorry that Saturday TV is crappy … not even a Project Runway marathon to cheer you up?

No more cable, so no PR marathons for me. Although I did catch the season finale at a friend’s place and I was really not into any of their designs at all. Very anti-climactic.

Finally!
I hate Katie Brown. I watch because I live in Puerto Rico and PBS is the only station I get. Her ideas are ridiculous and she says “kinda fun” too much and at the strangest times. Sometimes she actually makes me fuming angry. It’s amazing she has a job. Thank you

I too find that Katie Brown makes me want to throw things at my TV. Who would ever think a person could get on TV by making the projects she did in second grade. I won’t be at all surprised when she teaches us to make egg carton jewelry boxes. She DOES steal The joy of Saturday TV!
