    Canadian bounty

    January 3, 2006

Yesterday evening my roomie Trev returned from the Canadian frontier and lo! he came bearing tasty sugery gifts. Nothing like a cultural candy exchange. I’m going to have to raid the store now and see what other Hostess products I can introduce him to in return. He’s met the infamous Twinkie, but I’m sure that America has so much more to offer. Until then, stick around for reviews of these curious Canadian confections, mostly likely including an obsecene photo or two when I finally decide to tackle those Mr. Big bars!

    1. I’ve heard many a good thing abuot those coffee crisp bars. Are they as good as they say?

Although, I’m pretty sure you can find oh henry’s in the US too. I think it’s just one of those candy bars that was popular in the 50s and sort of went out of style. And I know I’ve had one of those Aero bars before too, although maybe that was in Canada. Hmm.

    3. The Coffee Crisps are quite tasty. They are very light though, so you have to resist the urge to keep eating them! Also, as Trev frequently reminds me, they had an amazingly dorky commercial which went something like the following:
Person 1: How do you like your coffee?
      Person 2: Crisp.
Person 1: You like your coffee crisp?!?!
Person 2: No! I like my Coffee Crisp!

Even though I have never seen it, it will stick in my head forever. Damn you, Canada!
